In the since-deleted tweet, Thugger reportedly told Gunna to stop acting like they were friends, claiming that Gunna didn’t truly know him. This cryptic message stirred confusion among fans, given the history and close collaboration between the two rappers under the Young Stoner Life (YSL) label.


Young Thug Requests Gunna Exemption In Probation Terms

This tension appears to stem from the fallout of the YSL RICO case. Both artists were implicated in the legal proceedings, but Gunna’s decision to take an Alford plea in late 2022 led to accusations of “snitching” among some fans and members of the hip-hop community. Despite this, Gunna has consistently denied those allegations, emphasizing his support for Young Thug during his legal troubles.


Interestingly, despite the deleted tweet and the apparent diss, Young Thug’s lawyer recently secured permission for Thugger to collaborate with Gunna, even though his probation terms restrict contact with most YSL affiliates. The court granted this exception, underscoring the musical synergy between the two artists, which has been commercially successful in the past   .
